Days 3-5: Monday-Wednesday, 11/05-11/7 From Jalpan, high in the Sierra Madres, through
San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato

Wow, we're spending the night where the Spaniards did centuries ago!

The beauty of this church built by Junipero Sera so long ago and in such a remote location is astounding!

Throughout these mountains all the way to California, Father Junipero Sera built these missions of beauty for all mankind

Whew, we made it! Now, that was a mountain road!

And, what has been your favorite part of the trip so far?

Day 6: Thursday, 11/08/01 Ah, Zacatacas, the fairest city of them all. Alas, the stay too short,
but a destination for our return.  But, Real de Catorce was a true mountain gem!
